It's Time

This powerful message centers on a simple yet profound truth: it's time to stop hiding and step into the fullness of God's purpose for our lives. Drawing from Ecclesiastes 3:1, we're reminded that there is a season and time for everything under heaven, and all events rest in God's hands. The sermon brilliantly uses the childhood game of hide-and-seek as a metaphor for how we often respond to life's challenges. When faced with loss, hurt, or betrayal, we tend to hide emotionally and spiritually rather than moving forward in faith. We show up physically but absent ourselves emotionally from work, family, and our divine calling. The central biblical narrative explores the dramatic story of Prophet Elijah from 1 Kings 18, who boldly faced 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel and witnessed fire fall from heaven. Yet immediately after this supernatural victory, one threat from Queen Jezebel sent him running for his life, sitting under a tree asking God to take his life. This powerful contrast reveals our human tendency to feel invincible one moment and completely defeated the next. The beauty of this message lies in how God met Elijah in his weakness with rest, food, strength, and gentle encouragement. God didn't shame or rebuke him but reminded him he wasn't alone and wasn't finished with him yet. This same promise extends to us today, calling us to reclaim our passion, reignite our dreams, and step back into the life God created us to live.
