Almost Doesn't Count
We have all lived through an 'almost' moment. Almost got the promotion. Almost crossed the finish line first. Almost made the right choice. But what happens when 'almost' becomes a pattern in our spiritual lives? This message digs into one of the most sobering exchanges in all of Scripture, found in Acts 26:28, where King Agrippa responds to Paul's powerful testimony by saying he was almost persuaded to become a Christian. Almost. That single word carries the weight of a soul standing at the edge of transformation and stepping back. We are challenged to examine whether we are living as fully committed followers or as 'almost Christians,' close enough to feel the warmth of the fire but never fully stepping into it. The spiritual lesson here is urgent and personal: proximity to truth is not the same as surrender to it. We can know the right words, attend the right gatherings, and still be standing just outside the door of everything God has for us. This message calls us to move from almost to always, and to recognize that a half-surrendered life leaves us vulnerable to the very things we are trying to escape.
