The God That Heals
This powerful message centers on the God who heals, drawing us into the remarkable story of the woman with the issue of blood from Mark chapter 5. For twelve long years, she suffered, spending everything on doctors with no relief. Yet when she heard Jesus was coming to town, something stirred within her. Her faith, though perhaps no bigger than a mustard seed, was enough. She believed that if she could just touch the hem of His garment, she would be made whole. And she was right. Jesus felt virtue leave Him and declared that her faith had healed her. This story reminds us that we serve a God who is still in the answering business. When we seek Him with genuine faith, believing His word rather than our circumstances, He responds. The message challenges us to examine whose report we believe when facing illness, financial trouble, or seemingly impossible situations. Will we trust the doctor's diagnosis alone, or will we remember that we serve Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals? The call is clear: seek Him first, speak life over our situations, and remember that the effective fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much. We are created in God's image, made righteous through Christ's blood, and therefore our prayers carry weight in the heavenly realm.
